Rules are applied hierarchically
AWI matches the order against your rules - by product name, file type, order value, equipment requirement, or any other attribute. Multiple rules apply in priority order, giving you precise control over routing.
Files are downloaded and routed
Matched files are downloaded from Pressero and placed into the correct local, network, or FTP hot folder - organized into subfolders per order, with date-stamped filenames if required.
Control files and reports generated
AWI creates JDF or XML control files alongside each job, enabling seamless handoff to third-party workflow solutions - MIS, RIP, imposition, or prepress automation software.
Order status updated automatically
Once AWI successfully processes an order, it updates the order status in Pressero automatically - so your customers see their order in production without any manual status changes.

Flexible File Filtering

PDF Report Generation
AWI can automatically generate PDF versions of order-related reports - Order Detail, Item Detail, Pick List, Order Summary, and more - and place them in your designated report folder alongside the production files.
Subfolder Organization
Configure AWI to create a folder for each order, each order item, or each user - keeping your hot folder organized automatically. Filename formatting with order and item numbers or download timestamps keeps files traceable.
Selective Reprocessing
If a rule changes or a file is accidentally deleted, AWI can reprocess any order selectively - re-downloading and re-routing it through your current rules without duplicating other jobs in the queue.

Define exactly what triggers each rule
The General tab is where you set the rule name, file name pattern, and the condition that triggers the rule - product name match, file type, order attribute, or equipment requirement. Rules apply hierarchically, so you can build a complete routing logic for every job type your shop handles.
Control exactly how files land in your hot folders
The Options tab gives you precise control over file naming and folder structure. Prepend timestamps for quality control traceability, create per-order or per-item subfolders to keep production organized, and choose exactly which file types are downloaded for each rule.
Generate production reports automatically with every job
The Report tab lets you configure which PDF reports AWI generates alongside each downloaded job. Order Detail, Item Detail, Pick List, Order Summary, and Summary Compact reports can all be generated automatically and saved to your designated reports folder - no manual export required.
