Important Update to Pressero’s New Checkout Process Effective 9/2/21

In August, Aleyant launched a new checkout process for Pressero. The new process improves the shopping cart by separating payments and shipping into their own pages. We moved the approval process into its own workflow and created a new Pending area.


We have received terrific feedback thus far. Clients report that they like the new “Pending” area, which can serve as an easy follow-up list, or as a “list of leads” for CSRs and salespeople. Users report that the “All Orders” page is now a “clean, true, production-ready orders area.” Also appreciated is the ability to capture payment “only after” approval, which removes the need to issue refunds on Denied orders.


Aleyant also received feedback that is going to enable us to make additional improvements to the new process, which you’ll see this month.


With the upcoming Pressero release on September 2, every order, whether it is paid and/or approved or not, will receive a sequential Order number in line with the rest of your orders in the system, which can then be used for payment transaction identification. The current “Pending Orders” page is being renamed to “Pending” to avoid confusion around the term “Orders,” which pertains to production-ready orders found in the All Orders page. For existing Pending Order numbers, they will be assigned an Order number based on the last available Order number that was issued.  


Example:


If there are five Pending orders in the Pending area, and the last real Order number issued was Order 100, then the five Pending orders will be issued Order numbers 101-105, but still remain in the Pending area until they are converted to production-ready orders by either being approved, paid, or both.
