New Updates to the Checkout Process for Integrated Payment Methods (Credit Cards)
In the latest releases of Pressero, we have updated the checkout process for integrated (credit card) payment methods to consider the possible delay between the time that a customer checks out and the time that they submit payment. When a customer clicks the button to pay for their order, the shopping cart closes, and an order number is generated. The status of this order shows in the order list as “Order Cancelled” until the credit card is approved, and the payment is completed. At that time, the status changes to “Order Received.”
Enhanced ShipStation Integration: Adding Products
Our latest release enhances the ShipStation integration by enabling products to be created automatically inside ShipStation from the Item Name or Product Name when an order is placed in Pressero. Here are the options now available:
- If products are set up in ShipStation, subscribers can individually map a Pressero product to a product in ShipStation. When the item is transferred, ShipStation will then choose the product listed that is linked.
- A “Default Product” can be listed in the Embedded Services settings. If the product is not linked to a specific product in ShipStation, then the default product will be selected.
- If no product is linked, and no Default Product is indicated, then when the order is transferred, ShipStation will create a new product based on either the Product Name or the Item Name. If the product is already listed and matches the name in ShipStation, then this product will be selected. Note: using this method means your product list in ShipStation can grow very large.

Enhancements to Payment Methods Documentation
In August we announced PCI compliance enhancements to ensure that the financial information of customers of Pressero subscribers is better protected. We continue to enhance our Payment Method documentation, particularly for integrated (credit card) payment methods. Please note recent updates to Authorize.Net CIM, Moneris Hosted, CyberSource Hosted, PagSeguro and PayFlow Pro Hosted payment methods in Chapter 18, Payment Methods.
Reminder:Please continue to transition all sites that are using the Authorize.Net Standard payment method to process credit cards into the new Authorize.Net CIM payment method. The Authorize.Net Standard payment method is no longer being supported and will be scheduled for removal. For more information please refer to this article.
Addition of Finland’s Provinces
Our latest Pressero update adds the provinces of Finland to the Admin > Preferences > Locations page as shown in the image below. This release also added new Finnish translations.
Adobe InDesign Plug-in Supports macOS Catalina
Our latest update to the Adobe InDesign Plug-in for eDocBuilder is compatible with macOS Catalina. Go to Chapter 36, InDesign Plug-in for eDocBuilder to download the new version and for instructions.
CloudSync Released for eDocBuilder
We have recently completed our integration with Amazon S3 storage for eDocBuilder templates and sessions. This is a new process that will work in the background in all eDocBuilder instances to allow for a better utilization of storage for all templates, sessions and assets inside of eDocBuilder. We will begin to enable this new function for all accounts in Q1. There is no action that needs to be taken on the part of the user this service is enabled automatically. By using Amazon S3, Aleyant now has greater capabilities and can more efficiently scale our storage as your subscription grows.
What’s new in tFLOW?
Our pluggable storage feature is a major architectural change. The main change with pluggable storage is that previously each tFLOW instance had two storages: the “main” one, and the archive. The main storage was always local, while the archive could be local or in the cloud. The archive storage was used only to store job data, like artworks, proofs, etc. Other files, like automation scripts or assets, were always stored locally.
With pluggable storage, there is no longer an archive. All data, including automation scripts and assets, are stored directly in the cloud. tFLOW automatically downloads all needed files to the local file system when needed.
A small disk cache is still present locally to provide higher performance during the processing of the uploaded jobs. Once the process is complete, tFLOW moves all the files automatically to the cloud.
We now include the option of adding registration marks (regmarks) to a finished job. (In the example below, the regmarks are small black dots.) Regmarks are typically used by cutting machines such as Zund. Regmarks can be placed along each border. Either enter a fixed number or the minimum spacing between.
We also have added the option to add a visual marker (stich lines) to the finished job. Stich lines can be placed along each border independently from the other at a specific dimension from the trim box. In the image below, the dashed lines simulate the stich. The new functionalities are included in the latest “Banner finishing v11” script.
We also recently provided the capability to provide each user with a personal link that can be used to upload artwork. Enable any of these options: Job Name, PO Number, Product, Splitting Scheme and Notes. The “Enable Personal Upload Link” checkbox for Artwork Upload is found under Main > Users > Artwork Upload as shown in the screenshot below. Set the default value in System Settings to save steps when setting up users.
